RealView - Rules Manager UI

One of my favorite initiatives was building a self-service UI for my appraisal review product, RealView. This project involved redesigning an outdated UI and introducing new functionality that became possible when we transformed all client data from flat files to a database through a data transformation process (ETL). The new UI and database-driven rules engine enabled users to make configuration changes to their appraisal review product in real-time.

Realcondition Report - messaging portal

One of my products is a property condition report (RealCondition Report) used by lenders to assess the risk and condition of a property by having an inspector visit the property and fill out a report. I enhanced the user experience for RealCondition Report by creating a new Messaging UI portal within the platform. The Messaging UI introduced the ability for users to directly communicate with the vendor/inspector regarding their orders, get status updates, make order cancellations, etc.

This change was also a huge internal enhancement, as it eliminated a time-consuming task (handled by the support team) of acting as the middle man for communication between the client and vendor. The support team would have to manually relay several hundred messages weekly between clients and vendors, and this was no longer necessary after we launched the Messaging UI.

RealView - Word Search

Another major enhancement was RealView Word Search, a rule-builder tool that introduced the ability to create business rules that scan the appraisal report for keywords or phrases. If a keyword is found, Word Search rules automatically alert clients that potentially biased or unacceptable terminology was found in the appraisal. This tool helps clients with risk management and maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

As fair lending and biased/subjective terminology had become a topic of interest in the market, the demand for this feature grew substantially. RealView Word Search increased the value proposition and became a huge selling point to lenders.
